From a source who doesn't want to be identified: "A major royal scandal is unfolding in the country. The Queen’s infamous brother Majdi Yassin who until recently was married to Joanna al-Saket (her mother is of the richest family in Jordan the Talhuni family whose members served as Prime ministers and her father’s family is also an elite family whose members served as ministers, including her father, I believe) has recently divorced her and obtained a Shari court ruling to have custody of their two daughters (4 and 6 years of age) whom he and his sister the Queen kidnapped and are keeping under guard in the Queen’s palace, barring their mother from having any contact with them). The mother who was in London until recently (there are claims that she is emotionally unstable and was being treated in London) was told by her then husband that he would bring the children to see her over Easter break only for him to cancel the trip and tell her he was joining his sister the Queen in Aqaba with their two daughters. Joanna decided to come to Jordan and see the children, only to be told that Majdi is divorcing her and that she cannot see the children who are being kept in the Palace under guard by his sister’s orders. Last Thursday, May 7 was the birthday of one of the daughters, which impelled Joanna and Joanna’s father to go to the children’s school (the school owned by Queen Rania) to see he,r only for them to be kicked out by school security. She waited at a distance, waiting for the kids to come out of school, but they were smuggled the back way preventing her from seeing them. In the meantime, Joanna has been posting Facebook news about what happened to her, and sending appeals to her daughters telling them that she is back in the country and wants to see them and that they should not believe anyone who tells them that she is still away. She indeed is telling her story to anyone who would listen at dinners and on Facebook but to no avail. The Queen who recently posted a picture of her latest outfit and handbag on twitter leaving a meeting with UNICEF and singing the praises of its children’s programs, continues to refuse to allow her sister in law to see her own kids whom the Queen has conspired with her brother Majdi to kidnap and keep in the palace. If this is what the Jordanian royals can do to one of the most elite families in the country like the Talhunis and the Sakets, one can get a good idea how the rest of the population is faring."
