Naming a nuclear reactor after Shimon Peres

It is amazing.  The US and EU raised a stink about an Iranian nuclear program which produced not one nuclear warheads. Yet, the story that Israeli war criminal, Shimon Peres is now awarded the name of Israel's nuclear reactor (which produced at least 200 nuclear warheads) caused no stir in US media.  I mean, if a poetry center is named after Shimon Peres (for his most famous poem, "you can make an omelette out of eggs, but you can't make tiramisu out of potatoes") one can understand.
