Al-Qa`idah and its affiliates in the Saudi-sponsored meeting of Syrian opposition: the US government is coy

Arab oil and gas media are reporting that the American government is mildly upset that allies of Al-Qa`idah (like Ahrar Ash-Sham, who eulogized Mullah Omar) have been invited as representatives of the "moderate" Syrian opposition.  Of course, none of the Beirut-based Western correspondents would bother report on such trivialities.
