Ahmad Chalabi dead: the man who led the US by the hand against its will to invade Iraq

Poor US.  If you read the headlines of ALL Western newspapers, including the Guardian, you would get the impression that the US was minding its own business and then this terrible person (and he is terrible, no doubt about that) came along and led the innocent US astray.  Poor US imperialism.  This is a man who promised to create for the US a secular ally of Israel in the heart of the Middle East wound up a little lackey for Muqtada As-Sadr.  Befitting.
