When I came to US in 1983, Carnegie Endowment was one of the most truly liberal think-tanks in Washington, DC. Nowadays, it is basically a club for former US officials. Its president is a former assistant secretary of state. Its vice-president is former US National Security Official. Its Middle East expert is none other than Jordanian regime functionary, Marwan Mouasher (you have to read him in Arabic in Al-Ghad newspaper to get the full flavor of his fawning praise for the monarchy).
