Western media never report about the avalanche of grotesque sectarian rhetoric in Saudi and Qatari media. Instead, they consider any criticisms of Wahhabiyyah by anyone in the region as anti-Sunni sectarianism (as Anne Barnard did in her articles on Syria). This is a well-known (and widely followed) Saudi academic and who specializes in media and communication: "And it is noteworthy that this [the Iranian project in the region] is a project founded on myths that resemble Zionist myths: the so-called Jewish holocaust in contrast to the so-called victimhood of House of `Ali, the destruction of the temple contrasted with Karbala' tragedy".
