The New York Times hired a new Arab correspondent: Diaa Hadid

How did she do on her first day on the job in the first article? 1) How is her Arabic? I know that the one Arabic sentence she has on her byline on twitter is structurally wrong. 2) When she was at AP, she had spread false stories about Hamas forcing Christians to convert to Islam. 3) Look at her sentence here: "Mr. Odeh runs his campaign mostly from his car, racing around as many as 10 towns and villages in a single day. He kisses men on both cheeks, Palestinian style, and, between events, washes down Israeli pastries with Turkish coffee."  This is like describing doughnuts as Arabic pastries.  4) "His position is a striking change from incumbent lawmakers like Haneen Zoabi, whose strident Palestinian nationalism has alienated mainstream political parties and ordinary Israelis."  Do you think that the strident Zionism of all Israeli politicians have alienated ordinary Palestinians?  5) Let me guess: her bosses at the Times will be very pleased and she will write series of articles about the plight of Israeli collaborators and how unfairly they are treated in Palestinian society.
