Russian experts and US media

"“I have to do a TV broadcast now, can I call you back in maybe an hour?” Angela Stent, the director of the Russian studies department at Georgetown University, said when she picked up the phone. An hour later she apologized again. “I’m afraid I’ll have to call you back.”"  I really like Angela Stent.  She was my professor at Georgetown where I minored in Soviet Studies.  She was an excellent teacher who kept her students interested and knew her subject very well.  But in my studies of Soviet affairs, Stephen F Cohen was by far my favorite.  Read his recent dissent on US coverage of Ukrainian crisis.
