the bombing in Kabul: Western media remember the dead in Afghanistan--it is a first

Innocent Afghans die daily from US bombs and yet there is rarely any coverage of that, and when Karzai occasionally says a word against that US media uniformly accuse him of "being difficult".  But the bombing at the Lebanese restaurant in Kabul did really generate extensive coverage (including this emotional tribute) but that is only because it catered to Westerners.
