I never thought that I would read this kind of substantiation in the Economist

"According to a report on January 17th by Reuters, based on intelligence and arms-industry sources, Russia has stepped up its military aid to Mr Assad. "  So someone told someone who told someone who told Reuters, and then reported in the Economist.
