How much Anne Barnard knows about Lebanese politics

"And Michel Mouawad, a politician and a son of René Mouawad".  This sentence by Ms. Barnard will live in infamy.  It represents the extent to which she is clueless about Lebanon, and the extent she is a puppet of the March 14 political apparatus in the country.  Michel Mouawad "a politician".  Are you aware how funny this is for Lebanese?  In the late 1990s, when I sat with his mom, Nayla, she accused Michel `Awn of killing her husband.  Back then, Mrs. Mouawad was close to the entire brass of Syrian intelligence in Lebanon.  Ms. Barnard: a bit of a homework would not hurt you, really.
