The official lexicon of the New York Times

So it is now official.  The New York Times which refers to the armed conflict in Syria and the violent upheaval and repression in Egypt as part of an "Arab spring", has decided as of today to refrain from using the word Intifada.  It is now called "Violent Intifada".
