The lies of Yassin Hajj Saleh

Mr. Hajj Saleh can't, even if his life depended on it, speak about his past truthfully.  Just as he told the New York Times that he was fighting for democracy in his his political activism in the past (he, in fact, was a communist but now is embarrassed about this past, being a NATO cheerleader and all), he lies here again:  "During the revolution’s first year, Syrians demanded international protection. First we asked for no-flight zones or humanitarian corridors, and later for weapons and military aid for the Free Syrian Army, but to no avail."  No, Mr. Saleh, you at the time were claiming to be opposed to any outside intervention, remember?
