A European colleague who does not wish to be identified sent me this:
"Asaad, you linked to an article that referred to the eleven sons of Ali - which in itself was very funny. But I looked into the author, who is presented with a customarily vanilla scholarly blurb. Turns out, Sandra Wormuth is the International Relations Director of "Builders of Zion," and a leading light within something called "The Maccabean Resistance." These are hard-core pro-settler-Islam-is-evil-gather-the-faithful-around-Israel-there-is-no-such-thing-as-Palestinians-type groups.

She has published in the Journal of Small Wars previously, also providing
her academic credentials only. Not that the JSW is an exactly stellar
publication, but it is not entirely without influence. It pisses me off that
crap like this is being passed around as scholarship, as opposed to the work of
a propagandist. I guess that "an M.A. candidate in Counter-Terrorism" with
"dual-baccalaureates in Journalism and Political Science, International
Relations" sounds better than "full-time and uber-zealous Zionist
propagandist with a history of making racist, false and inflammatory
statements."
