I never watch US TV news ever in the US but I watched NBC News here in the UK the other day. Brian Williams started the program by referring to the act of urination by soldiers on dead Afghan bodies--very bad dead Afghan bodies we are told. Williams had to introduce the story with a long speech about the "context" of the act, and went on about the pressures of war and about the bravery of those soldiers and about the brutality of the enemies. He almost said that all those pressures make some troops urinate on dead bodies in Afghanistan. Thank you, Brian William. Without you, I would not have understood why they did what they did.
