Searching for missing Americans in Lebanon but not Syrians

Some 600 Syrians have been missing in Lebanon since 2005.  Do you think that Lebanese state bothered to look for them?  "Approximately 100 personnel from both the Lebanese Army and the Internal Security Forces (ISF) participated in the search operation.They used two helicopters and trained search dogs in their search efforts. " (thanks Rudy)
