Mubarak regime found a new Danish cartoon affair

"She has become a national symbol of persecution for a growing number of demonstrators, who have taken to the streets in protest at the perceived growth in Islamophobia in the west. Sherbini's funeral took place in her native Alexandria on Monday in the presence of thousands of mourners and leading government figures. There are plans to name a street after her." Yes, and the Egyptian secret police was present to edge demonstrators on in order to allow the demonstrators to vent on an issue that does not disturb Mubarak's relations with Israel and the US. This is like Danish cartoons. This is a crime committed by one lone murderer and in the context--to be sure--of racism and xenophobia in Germany and Europe. But the crimes of the Mubarak regime and his allies in Israel are much worse and more systematic and yet we don't notice that the secret police of Mubarak allowing for any expression of dissenting views. And the internatinoal human rights organizations don't even report when thousands of Egyptians are rounded up, beaten, and imprison without trial becuase they often are bearded. Bearded prisoners and victims never make it to the lists of human rights organizations and the Committee to Protect Journalists did not even notice that one of the bravest journalists in the world, `Abdul-Halim Qandil, was kidnapped by the armed thugs of Mubarak and beaten savagely and left naked on Tariq Al-Haram.
