The Vote for...the US in Lebanon?

This argument by Michael Slackman is overstated. He is right though that it was much more easier to mobilize against the US in the era of Bush. Of course, it can't be argued that the voting behavior in Lebanon follows the premise of Rational Choice Theory, unless you amend it to make it Sectarian Quasi Rational Theory of voting behavior. Sectarian issues relate to external influences so perception of outside powers were relevant.
