Who are you kidding? I mean, who are you kidding?

"In a second symbolically significant New Year’s Day handover, the Iraqi government accepted security and administrative duties at the main airport in the southern city of Basra. The airport had been used by British forces since the 2003 invasion of Iraq." Do you know how many times I have been treated to stories about "transfers" of authority? And I am supposed to believe that this one (but not the previous ones) is dead serious? Let me tell you: the driver of a US military occupation officer in Iraq has more authority and sovereignty than all the political puppet elite of Iraq combined.
