"Press Release
It seems that Mohammed Dahlan has decided to serve judicial proceedings against me in the English court of law according to a recent letter from his solicitor, which specified 27/07/2007 (or earlier) as the date of such proceedings.
Upon the insistence of resorting to the judicial system, I declare that:
· It is the right of anyone to resort to a court of law
· I am fully prepared to face the judiciary
· I reject all attempts to prohibit or censor my freedom of thought, speech and writing
· The call for judicial action will not deter me in the voicing of my opinions publicly and freely
· I place emphasis on my previous stances without any retreat or hesitation, particularly concerning the fight against corruption and the corrupted, and I will continue to confront and expose abusive practices, and whomever may stand behind them
I am certain that free will is more powerful than wealth; more powerful than real estate and property; more powerful than processions, escorts, bodyguards and eavesdropping devices; and more powerful than totalitarian media. I am yet more certain that my people and my nation and all supporters of freedom and justice in this world will assume that the legal battle is a personal issue for them.
Dr Ibrahim Hamami"
The issue at stake as I remember it is that Hamami accused Dahlan on AlJazeera of corruption, and said that Dahlan has an share in Burj Al-`Arab in Dubai.
