Prime minister boo hoo hoo held a press conference yesterday (shown above) to rebut charges that he has deliberately delayed compensation for those who suffered from the Israeli war on Lebanon. Yet his own words and figures condemn him: he said that there are 25,000 housing units that have been damaged in the southern suburbs, and yet his government gave befits to a mere 1064. New TV calculated that it will take 20 years to compensate and rebuild the damage due to the war at the pace of the Lebanese government ("democratically-elected" as the US administration keeps saying, which is meaningless in the Lebanese political system)--and Olmert had promised to take Lebanon 20 years back.
