"Traveling from Jerusalem to Ben-Gurion airport, I reflect that come summer, it will be 40 years since Israel conquered those parts of mandatory Palestine (now called the West Bank & Gaza Strip) that escaped its control in 1948. At an average of four trips a year, I calculate that that would make 160 times that I have been through the various security regimes instituted by the Shin Bet at the airport. And I am still a threat."
