I still can't believe that Robert Fisk (not his driver Abed) referred to the "eloquence" of Walid Jumblat*. I mean, in a career that spanned more than 30 years, his most famous speech is the one he gave a year ago in Beirut that said: "We want revenge. We want revenge. From Lahhud and from Bashshar." Eloquent indeed.
*In fairness, Walid Jumblat subscribes to the New York Review of Books which--in upper class Lebanon--suffices to make you an intellectual.
