Layla `Alwi is my ally. This famous Egyptian actress has publicly called for the separation of religion and state in Egypt. I applaud her. It is high time that we separate religion and state in every Middle East country. Every Middle East country. On another note: the Iraqi puppet president and proud polygamist (when will the disgraceful polygamy be banned once and for all in the entire Middle East, and I do not care if this--the ban, that is--clashes with Islamic laws?) Ghazi Al-Yawir was on a tour of the US, in which he praised the US. This moral coward waited until he was in UK to criticize the US on BBC and in an interview with Ash-Sharq Al-Awsat. The latter has "termporarily" closed down its offices in Baghdad after receiving threats. The paper, as you may remember, was the first paper allowed by the US colonial authority to publish in Iraq, and it has been--in all fairness--a loyal mouthpiece for the American colonization of the country.
