Israel does what it does best: deludes itself

Do you remember prior to the US invasion of Iraq in 2003 how the Israeli media were filled with articles citing one lone unnamed Iraqi who assured the usurping entity that the new Iraq would have excellent relations with Israel? Do you remember when NATO was bombing Libya, how Haaretz tracked down a fictitious Libyan rebel leader (who we now know was made up) who assured Israel that the new Libya would have excellent relations with Israel?  Well, Jerusalem Post tracked down a Syrian in Europe who can't use his real name but he--you guessed it--assures Israel that the new Syria would have excellent relations with Israel.  I have said this before and will say it again: Israel is like when the Titanic was sinking, someone shouted: but look we all have access to free beverages now.
