life in Saudi Arabia: not in the Western press

"A female university student died in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, after school officials refused to let male medics onto the women’s only campus, Saudi media reported. According to Saudi daily Okaz, Amina Bowzir suffered from a heart attack while on campus at the King Saud University in Riyadh. Paramedics were called at 11 am, but the university director refused to let them in until 1 pm, at which point Bowzir was already dead.
The university justified the decision saying that the male medical staff could not enter the premises because some students were not veiled,  some of Bowzir’s peers told Okaz." (thanks Basim)
