From comrade Asa: "Look at this absolute rubbish. Reading Israel's supposedly "free"
propaganda media never fails to anger and annoy me.
They are weeks late to this story, but can't even get the most basic facts about the story right, and are tumbling over themselves, happy to find a new chance to stoke sectarianism: look at how they emphasise Rahbani's sect in the subhead, as if that is remotely relevant to the story.
And look at the other trash standards of the Israel media:
* "About a week ago" when it was more than 3 weeks ago.
* "... in an interview to Hezbollah-affiliated online Beirut daily Al-Mayadeen" -- when it's actually a leftist TV station.
* And this idiot also talks about "supporters of the secular establishment" on the other side to Hizballah. Pray, tell me who those are in Lebanon? What a joke.
I would be happy that Israeli disinformation campaigns are so clueless if it were not for the increasing worrying recent signs of Israel ramping up its plan to stoke and create Palestinian sectarian divisions.
Historically, that is nothing new of course, but in the current regional climate, it is sniffing blood. Israel is seizing its chance to join the current Saudi conspiracy to inflame sectarian divisions across the region. The signs are there: hence they found a token Arab to join the Israeli terrorist army who says she not an Arab but only a Christian.
And the Wall Street Journal raves about the Israeli army's latests propaganda invention Israel’s "Christian awakening" (based on the recruitment of a tiny handful of Palestinians Christians into the Israeli terrorist army led by a single priest who they've managed to blackmail into collaboration).
Here are two articles about the latter:"

PS Al-Mayadin is an Arab nationalist TV station.
