From a journalist in Prague: "regarding the mystery case of dead Palestinian Ambassador:
The media went crazy during the last days, running a array of "informations" about "70 automatic rifles" found at palestinian embassy, former head of Czech Army´s general staff gave an interview and described the palestinian embassy in Prague as kind of "transfer point" for weapons heading to thre rest of EU countries, "because we know who they (Palestinians) are", then lot of "experts" (as former chief of Czech intelligence) supported him with a lot of strong antipalestinian statements. We were close to hysteria (and declaring war on Palestine) here, and then Police president lost his nerves and stated, that they found just 12 pistols, which are (according to palestinian sources) old, from the times of communist regime here, or were the gifts to ambassadors.
I don´t know if Police president is so honest guy, but it looks like he had nothing to lose, because it was the public secret that he will be dismissed soon (and yes, that happened yesterday, the day after his "propalestinian" statement...)
And after that everyone here went silent... body of ambassador were transported to Ramallah on Monday (on regular flight to Tel Aviv) and the reasons of his death are still unclear. Which is quite normal for Czech republic. A lot of strange things here ends with long investigations and usually without results. Czechs get used to it.
So, I think, that the "mystery case" is finished for now... and remains a mystery."
