lies and bigotry of Nadim Shehadi and Mona Alami

Now you don't expect better from USA Today especially on foreign policy.   ""Nasrallah used very sectarian language to justify the organization's role in Syria," said Nadim Shehadi, a researcher at the think tank Chatham House, referring to the head of Hezbollah".  And them Mona Alami said:  "Facing criticism for the departure in targets, Nasrallah has said Syria is about helping an ally of Shiite Muslims from defeat by Sunni Muslims."  1) I doubt that Nadim Shehadi understands a word of classical Arabic used by Nasrallah. 2) when did Nasrallah used "very sectarian language"? 3)  When did Nadim Shehadi become a Middle East expert? He to my knowledge never studied it or taught it.  The only writings by him I know is an op.ed in Haaretz begging Israelis for peace.  Also, did he not allegedly help the alleged Mubarak's thief, Minister Youssef Ghali?  4)  It is cute that those March 14 correspondents of Western publications in Beirut, like Mona Alami, rely on fellow March 14 people.  5) I doubt that Nadim Shehadi knows any Shi`ite other than the maid in his family's home when he was growing up. 6) Mona Alami just fabricated a quotation and attributed to Nasrallah: she just made up that quotation in its entirety.  I know that she is a March 14 enthusiasts, but does she not have one iota of respect for the profession?  But then again, what do you think about people in the press entourage of Hariri family.  This is a mere example of the shoddy journalism coming out of Lebanon on Syria and beyond.  I am able to catch some of the lies and fabrications but there are many others that I don't see.   (thanks Butros)

PS In fact, Nasrallah was at pains yesterday and in previous speeches to stress that this is not about Sunnis and Shi`ites and that the Jihadi groups kill Sunnis and Shi`ites and Christians.  And even yesterday, he stated that `Ashurah is celebrated in Iraq by Sunnis and Shi`ites alike. But bigots are disturbed by any religious performances by groups that they hate.  So Shehadi above was disturbed by the commemoration of `Ashurah and considered it sectarian just as anti-Semites would complain about Jewish religious observances.
