The "poor-Israel" schtick in the Western media

From Khelil: "The U.S. media can never divorce itself from portraying Israel as the tiny cute little power with nuclear arms. This in an article that also referred to the Golan as "disputed": "an era when Israel faced coherent Arab countries with large militaries wielding formidable weapons. Memorials mark the stands taken by Israeli troops against far larger and better-armed Syrian units in 1973." One wonders how Israel was able to push back within miles of Damascus."
