"According to the report, the IDF presented a plan before Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu for the construction of a security zone with a width of 16 kilometers into Syrian territory. The purpose of the plan is to ensure the safety of Israel’s Golan Heights and its northern region after the fall of the Assad regime in Syria. The newspaper further reports that if a decision is made for the construction of a security zone, the plan will be carried out in cooperation with local Syrian villages, in order to avoid hurting the local population."
