From Basim: "The head of Lebanon’s General Security
is in Syria to negotiate the transfer of Lebanese fighters who were recently
killed in an ambush by the Syrian army, Interior Minister Marwan Charbel said
Saturday. Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim, the head of Lebanon’s General Security, was
tasked Friday by Prime Minister Najib Mikati to follow up on the process of
retrieving the bodies of the Islamists."
If only the Lebanese government would
exert as much effort to bring back living kidnapped pilgrims as dead Salafi
mercenaries.
