Arab student society at Penn

I am told that the Arab student society at Penn canceled their event that they co-sponsored with their friends in the Israeli lobby on campus. They sent this lousy email to members (one of them forwarded to me, of course):  "The PASS board has decided to cancel the BYO that was scheduled for tomorrow due to the recent violence in Gaza, in order to show our concern and support for our Arab brethren. We will try our best to reschedule it to a better time before the end of the semester, but if we are unable to do so due to time restrictions and the upcoming Thanksgiving break, we look forward to seeing you all at elections!  We hope that your friends and family in the region stay safe and that the violence end soon."
