US defeat in the war of ideas

Many people sent me reactions to my post on the US defeat in the war of ideas.  Some wrote to me about various US cases of espionage where people spied for the USSR for money.  Really? I did not know that? I was talking about the US defeat in the war of ideas in the Middle East.
