FSA in Syria

Comrade Dirar sent me this:
"In case you didn't know, the OpenDemocracy article you linked to was also published on Jadaliyya ( ). I posted a comment there, but I actually thought the article has a lot of silly things, despite the fact that the title and the gist of what she was trying to say was not bad (and hence why I tried not be too negative in the comment).
For example, she says "Armed with a deep conviction in our revolution rather than any heavy weapons, the embryonic FSA used to keep watch in the alleys and alert us to the coming of regime forces and the shabiha"  Really??? You need an "army" to do that. Then she says "This happened despite the fact that most people in Al-Midan totally supported arming the revolution." That's an outrageous claim; how does she know that? And more importantly, if this is indeed true, then how can one claim that the revolution was/is peaceful.?"
