Erdogan on Syria

Akram sent me this:
"The Prime Minister of the Kemalist Republic of Turkey said that he and his party members are going soon to visit Damascus to meet their "brothers" there. Those "men of God" are going to read Al-Fatiha (the first chapter of the Qur'an) on the tomb of Sultan Saladin and pray in Omayyad Mosque before visiting the tomb of Bilal Al-Habashi (one of the companions of Prophet Mohammad). And of course, they will not forget to "thank God" side by side with their "Syrian brothers" (Arabic)

It is worth to note that Anadolu News Agency hasn't dare to illustrate Erdogan's piousness in its English site for fear that Turkey's secular image in the eyes of its "civilized partners" in NATO and EU could be damaged."
