This is classic really: "revolutionary" ethics in Syria

A Syrian opposition intellectual (who once said that he only was a communist to struggle for democracy) writes about "revolutionary ethics"--may you and I be spared of it--and then said this:   "ثم عن بث فيديو يظهر رمي أشخاص, قيل إنهم قناصة". (And about the broadcast of a video showing the throwing off of persons, who--it was said--were snipers).  Don't you like the phrase "who, it was said..."???? And then the writer says that no one has the right to criticize this "revolution" unless one condemns the regime and calls for its downfall.  But there are many people who do that and when they criticize the opposition, they are labeled as shabbihah.  Spare me ethics, please.  Not at this moment.
