"Qatar's role in the Arab world was once hailed. In 2006, Abu Khalil called the arrival of Emir Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani in Lebanon a "PR coup for the Qatari government"." Here is the full post. Yes, Hizbullah and the Syrian regime gave the Emir of Qatar a propaganda boost during that visit in the way they hailed him, and Saudi Arabia was furious at that time. But what does that have to do with me? Where and when did I EVER say a word of praise of Qatar, when the government was aligned with the Syrian regime or when the government went against the Syrian regime. It is funny that this author--whoever he is--could not find anything that I ever wrote that was even remotely praising of the Qatari government so he stumbled upon the statement above and presents it as it was a praise for the Emir. And notice the dishonest method: the sentence starts with references to hailing the Qatari role in the Arab world and then gives my sentence as if it was an example of that. Why do I find propagandists of Saudi Arabia/UAE/Qatar to be so clumsy and typically dishonest these days? This site has been in operation since 2003, and anyone who would find a word of praise for Qatari ruler or government would get a golden blender from me. But my enemies know my record which explains why they have to lie.
