The Qatari plane that landed in Beirut airport was a PR coup for the Qatari government. You know that at least from the reaction of panic exemplified in Saudi media. Al-Arabiya (and other Saudi-funded media) led with the story by underlining that Qatar had obtained permission from Israel (Qatar denied that). The Hariri government--a tool of Saudi Arabia among other patrons--did not even send a representative to meet the plane.
