West and car bombings

From the coverage today, I learned this: Westerners (who along with Israel invented the weapon of car bombings) don't really object to car bombings per se.  They enjoy car bombings in fact unless they are directed against them.  Hell, Western governments have often resorted to the weapon of car bombings in the Middle East.  People in Lebanon would never forget the US-originated Bir Al-`Abd car bomb (killed tens of innocent people and the target--Muhammad Husayn Fadallah--survived).
