Bahraini opposition and the Syrian regime

From the Bahrain correspondent of the Angry Arab blog:
"Today Fadhel Abbas Secretary General of the small leftist political society AlWahdawi was tweeting his support for the Syrian regime. I am disguisted by is hypocrisy and the hypocrisy of all the Syrian regime supporters especially Hezbollah. It gets worse - the official Wahdawi twitter account was also tweeting its support.  Please tell me, why is an opposition society in Bahrain tweeting its support for the Syrian regime??  Yes I agree that there is a conspiracy against Syria but that should never translate to supporting the Asad regime. There is a third way - you can be against Bashar AlAsad AND against Western, Israeli and Saudi plans for the region.  Isn't the resistance bigger that the Syrian regime? People need to wake up.

I want to point out though that it is THE ONLY opposition society in Bahrain that supports the Syrian regime.  Every other opposition society has condemned the Syrian regime as have Nabil Rajab, the Khawajas, etc.  In fact I haven't spoken to any Bahraini that supports the protests which supports the Syrian regime. This brings me to my second point, the hypocrisy of opponents of the Syrian regime.  Today a lot of Bahraini regime supporters were gleefully pointing out the hypocrisy of AlWahdawi. Of course they forgot their hypocrisy of supporting the Syrian opposition while not supporting the Bahraini one.  Also why haven't we heard of even ONE syrian opposition group supporting the uprising in Bahrain?  Also where are the Syrians condemning the crackdown in Qatif and the arresting of Nimr AlNimr who has stood firmly against Bashar AlAsad.
And then you have the hypocrisy of the west.  Today, Blake Hounshell tweeted:  "#thatawkwardmoment when Westerners and secular Arabs cheer a suicide bombing."  Of course he seemed really excited about the explosion in Syria. What I'd like to know is how can he justify his excitement while at the same time criticizing armed resistence to Israel.  Also remember the the BBC report of the supposed explosive devices found in Bahrain a few weeks ago?  They call that terrorism but don't call this terrorism.  Why is violence by the opposition justified against the Asad regime but not against Israel and pro-American regimes such as Bahrain's. Of course the response is Syria is not Bahrain bla bla bla.  But surely they can't give me the same response when it comes to Israel?
Another thing.. The Arabs who are calling for foreign intervention in Syria... why were they against foreign intervention in Iraq?  Is Bashar AlAsad worse than Saddam or is it because AlAsad is Alawi while Saddam is Sunni??  Is it because Iran supports AlAsad but was against Saddam?
All I see is hypocrisy everywhere. "
