The scoop of the New York Times

Yesterday, the New York Times had a big story with a sensational headline to the effect that Russia has sent a firm message to the Syrian regime and that it is fed up with it.  I mocked the story and headline yesterday.  Today, the leader of the Syrian National Council said after meeting with Russian foreign minister that there is no change whatsoever in the Russian position on Syria.
