Syrian ambassador defection

1) Syrian regime is predictable: all its henchmen and corrupt functionaries are wonderful and exemplary, and then they become traitors and corrupt.  2) The ambassador showed up in Qatar: thus affirming what? Ideological ties with Qatar because Qatar does not operate through money? 3) Why not mention that the ambassador was in the Ba`th Party?  But to be fair: the man called on the Ba`th Party members to leave the party because it has become a tool of oppression.  The ambassador has discovered that this week.  4) It is obvious: Western governments will prefer to form a government of former functionaries of the regime--the various war criminals who will defect--because that will ensure a tightly controlled regime in the service of Israel.  Make no mistake about it.
