Prince Nayif

Hikmat sent me this:  "i though you might be interested in the following quotation from Trofimov's "The siege of Meca"
"As the ministerial phone rang, Prince Nayef picked up the heavy receiver. Suddenly he straightened his back and listened attentively, uttering "Yes, sir, yes, sir" between ornate expressions of respect.  The businessman thought that the interlocutor was King Khaled or Crown Prince Fahed but didn't dare ask. Then , after carefully hanging up with both hands, Nayef punched a phone number and angrily rolled of the names of students at the islamic University of Medina who had been detained by police.  " I have just spoken with Sheikh Abdelaziz[ Bin Baz]... You must free them immediately."
