The tribes are coming, the tribes are coming

Of course, the reactionary tribes have been supporting the regime and not the opposition although the exile Syrian opposition have put some individuals in the traditional head gear to pose as tribal leaders in conferences arranged for foreign video cameras:  "One wild card that could trump everything else is tribal politics. Two big Sunni tribes, the Shammar and the Dulaim, stretch from northern Saudi Arabia through western Iraq and Jordan and up into Syria.
