David Ignatius seems to like this Al-Qa`idah guy

"An illustration of how the regional and sectarian strands come together is the case of Shadi Mawlawi, a Sunni activist supporting the anti-Assad opposition. He was arrested two weeks ago by the Shiite-led General Security service. According to a Lebanese official, evidence linked Mawlawi to a prominent Qatari who was funneling money to the rebels in Syria."  So Al-Qa`idah terrorists are transformed into mere "activists" if they are part of a US-supported part in the Middle East.  Activist? The guy was in fact arrested on a tip from another Al-Qa`idah member who was arrested after a tip by the CIA was presented to the Lebanese government.
