The Party of Hashish smoker

An Egyptian submitted his candidacy for the Egyptian presidency as a candidate of the Party of Hashish smokers. He wants to legalize Hashish in Egypt.  My father was a law student in Cairo University (it was then called Fuad I University) in the 1940s.  He told us that students would smoke Hashish in the lecture halls, and that it was rather casual.
