No Lower Honor

In her last book, Condoleezza Rice said that they were all influenced by "the works of Bernard Lewis and Fouad Ajami" and by the UNDP report.  No wonder those folks are so wrong about the Middle East.  I mean, you read the columnists and you read the officials' accounts, and they read the same small number of authors or reports.  Nothing out of the norm.  This is why there is such an iron groupthink in Washington, DC on the Middle East.  If I hear about the UNDP report on the Arab world, I may get an allergic reaction.
