Bashshar Al-Ja`fari

This Syrian ambassador at the UN is an insult to the Syrian people who he claims to represent.  First he used the poems of Nizar Qabbani (who was banned from Syria for much of his life) to bolster the regime's positions, and then today he takes up defense of the Syrian regime with the passion of a bureaucrat reading the tax register.  He was not even trying.  What cause is that he speaks of?
