Syrian Observatory for Human Rights

I treat all that come out of Syrian regime media as lies until the contrary is proven.  I now officially treat the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights in the same way.  I will consider all that comes out from the Observatory as lies until the reverse is proven.  I have seen its director making the rounds and keenly paying tributes to Gulf countries, one by one.  A human rights organization that is beholden to GCC repressive countries can't be taken seriously.  Yet, most "information" on Syria in the Western (and Saudi and Qatari-owned Arab) press comes from this observatory.
